Cedar Rapids Swift Campout 2016 – June 25 & 26

Our Summer Solstice is just around the corner, marking the longest day in the northern hemisphere and the shortest in the south. This year it will also mark the first time we participate in the international overnight bikepacking event, the Swift Campout! Grab your gear and join us as we pack up and ride from the bike shop to Wildcat Bluff Recreation Area for an evening of campfire camaraderie.

We’re planning to leave from the bike shop (1120 2nd St SE Cedar Rapids) by 3pm Saturday, June 25th, and riding 30 leisurely miles to our reserved campsites for the night. The following morning we’ll enjoy some breakfast essentials and make our way back to Cedar Rapids along the Cedar Valley Nature Trail. This venture is 100% self-supported, so please plan and pack your bike with everything you need (patch kit, food, shelter, libations…) for the nights stay and the ride home. There are a few potential pit-stops along our route and there are restrooms and running water at the campsites. We hope to see you all then!
