Swift Campout Cedar Rapids 2019

The summer solstice is on the horizon, friends, and along with it comes our favorite annual Swift Campout! Pack up your bicycle with all the overnight essentials and skip town with us June 22rd/23rd for a chill evening at the Wildcat Bluff Recreation Area. Here’s the scoop. We’re planning to roll out from the bike shop (208 C 12th Ave. SE) by 10am Saturday, June 22nd, and riding 27 leisurely, no drop miles to our reserved campsites at Wildcat Bluff Recreation Area for the night. This is a 100% self-supported camping trip, individuals are totally responsible for packing their bike with all the food, water, camping gear, and positive vibes necessary! There are a few potential pit-stops along our route and there are restrooms and running water at our campsites. The following morning we’ll enjoy some breakfast essentials and make our way back to Cedar Rapids along the Cedar Valley Nature Trail.

Thursday Night Group Ride!

FINALLY!! Tomorrow Thursday, May, 2nd our weekly no-drop group rides start for the season, friends! Meet us at the shop ready to roll by 6:15pm with your helmet, your bike best suited for some gravel travel, and your friends best suited for a good ol’ time. Our 17-mile riverside route will take us around the Hennessey Quarry south of town and will finish at Lion Bridge Brewing Company for libations and post-ride hangs.

Cyclocross World Championships & Waffles!

We’re teaming up with our friends, Bike Rags and throwing a Cyclocross World Championship viewing party this coming Sunday, Feb 3rd from 7am-10am, Y’all! We’ll have waffles and breakfast beverages to enjoy so bring your appetite and an extra chair if you can! We’ve got a projector setup and will replay Saturdays Women’s Championship race shortly after 7am and then live stream the Men’s Championship race that begins at 8am. This is a free event but we’re requesting attendees bring a cash donation to benefit our local Corridor Devo Junior Cycling Team and support their 2019 season!

Yo! We’re open from 11am-4pm tomorrow, Sunday the 30th and then we’ll be closing up shop through New Years Day, friends.🎉 Thank you for sharing another incredible year on the saddle with us! We’re looking forward to catching many more miles and smiles with y’all in 2019! 💖
